Things to see and places to go

Victoria Park


A large park in the heart of Hackney/Tower Hamlets 

with a lovely little village at it's heart, good pubs and a few bakeries. 

The Sky Garden


London's highest garden, with great views over the city and a cocktail bar.

Hampstead Heath


A wild park of woodland and meadows, tucked inside north London’s Zone Two. It sprawls over 800 acres and boasts some of the most spectacular views in the city. 

Kew Gardens


A Royal botanic garden in southwest London that houses the largest and most diverse botanical and mycological collections in the world. It also has a great Christmas lighting display to enjoy during December.

Borough Market


A historic market in central London with an emphasis on high quality food, sustainable production and social connection. 

The Design Museum


The world's leading museum devoted to contemporary design in every form. Often has some great exhibitions on for people of all ages.

The Tate


Either Tate Modern or Tate Britain are good for some free exhibitions. The Tate Modern's new wing also has some great achitecture and impressive viewing platform to look across London.  

Ice skating at Somerset House


Our first ever date was ice skating at tower bridge and while that rink won't return this year, there are great rinks opening up at Somerset House and Hampton Court Palace.
